Description
The Strategic Communication Management Professional credential, awarded by the Global Communication Certification Council, recognizes senior communicators who advise organizational leaders on communication strategy. It gives employers and peers a benchmark for judgment, ethics and results at the executive level, well beyond day-to-day content production, and it reflects the profession’s ethical expectations of those who lead it.
Based on the council’s published job task analysis, the exam spans six domains: advising and leading, management, strategy development, innovation, ethics and reputation management. Candidates are expected to counsel executives, build business cases for communication projects, set measurable goals, manage budgets and teams, and handle crises. The SCMP is aimed at highly skilled professionals who already provide strategic counsel, such as communication directors and senior consultants.
GCCC SCMP practice questions from Examsempire reflect the judgment calls this level demands, for example how to advise a CEO when a supplier issue threatens the brand. Working through an SCMP practice test shows whether your gaps sit in reputation management, measurement or leadership, so you can focus your reading. Paired with the council’s handbook, they turn SCMP exam preparation into active revision rather than passive rereading.
